Speaker: Britta Peters

Curator and Director of "Urbane Künste Ruhr"

Britta Peters works as a curator, her focus is art in public spaces. Since 2018 she is the artistic director of Urbane Künste Ruhr. Before, she was a curator in a team with Kasper König and Marianne Wagner in the Skulptur Projekte Münster 2017. She worked in different projects and was director of the Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof in Hamburg 2008 till 2011. In cooperation with the excellence cluster “Normative Orders”, she realized the exhibition „Demonstrationen. Vom Werden normativer Ordnungen“ at the Frankfurter Kunstverein 2012, following up with the 2014 project „Krankheit als Metapher. Das Irre im Garten der Arten“ in different places of Hamburg. For the years 2020-2022, she is member of the jury “Kunst im öffentlichen Raum” (art in public space) in Vienna, Austria.
